The Waikato Equestrian Centre is the home to many events:
WEC Dressage – catering from Introductory through to Grand Prix and Musical Freestyles, the WEC Dressage Committee aim to host six shows per year.
- A Summer 1 day show usually in March.
- A Winter 4 day cummulative competition in the months of May, June, July and August.
- An Autumn 1 day show usually in September or October.
WEC Eventing – this is a newly formed sub-Committee of WEC who are dedicated to host two Horse Trials per year.
- A ODE (One Day Event) in April.
- An ODE in September or October.
The heights have started from CNC80 right up to CNC1*Plus. But we are very excited to unveil our new CNC65cm course which will be a part of the April 2017 Horse Trial.
WEC Show Jumping – this sub-Committee aims to run a four day cumulative competition in the months of May, June, July and August each year. There are also practice days as time permits.
WEC Show Hunter – this is run in conjunction with the Show Jumping days in May, June, July and August.
WEC Ribbon Days – we aim to run at least 2 ribbon days over the year. The War Horse Memorial Ribbon Day is on Anzac Day (April 25).
