Why join WEC?

WEC Members have anytime access to one of the Waikato’s finest equestrian training facilities. The WEC stretches over 45 hectares of scenic parklands lying within Hamilton City and bordering the Waikato River. The gently rolling grounds are largely sandy loam and provide good footing even through the winter months – ideal for pleasure rides or fitness raining. And with three sand arenas for schooling, including a pipe dressage arena (when available),  multi-level cross country facilities and practice show  jumping course you will be spoilt for choice. *From time to time certain areas of the WEC grounds may be unavailable due to event bookings, maintenance etc. Please check before you arrive to check availability.

• Reduced (or no) ground fees may apply at certain WEC run events (please see each individual schedule for more details).  NB: this does not apply to outside Groups who choose to run events at WEC, even if WEC team members are part of the third party Group)

Membership prices – updated as from the 1st of June 2023:

FULL MEMBERSHIP (1 June – 31 May):
Individual Membership $225.00 *
Family Membership $295.00 *

CASUAL MEMBERSHIP (1 June-31-May):
$0.00 to join (please note that this is not a financial membership)
Casual use is $30.00 per horse per time payable when you ride @ WEC.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS MEMBERSHIP (24 September 2023-7 April 2024):
Individual Membership $168.75 *
Family Membership $221.00 *

GRAZIER MEMBERSHIP:
Individual Grazing membership (for current graziers only) $200.00 per membership year *
Family Grazing membership (for current graziers only) $265.00 per membership year *

* Plus a $80 working bee fee.  If you complete a minimum of 4 hours at an approved working bee throughout the membership year, you do not have to pay the working bee fee again.  However, if you don’t or can’t you can simply pay the working bee fee each year.
