The Waikato Equestrian Centre is the home to many events:

WEC Dressage – catering from Introductory through to Grand Prix and Musical Freestyles, the WEC Dressage Committee aim to host six shows per year.

  • A Summer 1 day show usually in March.
  • A Winter 4 day cumulative competition in the months of June, July, August and September.
  • An Autumn 1 day show usually in September or October.

WEC Eventing – catering from 65cm – 2*.

  • A 2-day Horse Trial in March.
  • A 2-day Horse Trial in September.
  • A Winter 4-day cumulative competition in the months of May, June, July and August.

The heights have started from CNC65 right up to CNC2*Plus.

WEC Show Jumping – catering for a four day cumulative competition in the months of May, June, July and August each year.  There are also practice days throughout the year.

WEC Show Hunter – this is run in conjunction with the Show Jumping days in May, June, July and August.

WEC Ribbon Days – we aim to run at least 2 ribbon days over the year.  The War Horse Memorial Ribbon Day is on Anzac Day (April 25).
